‘I made over £600 in a couple of hours thanks to my side hustle flipping old cars!’

One man was able to make $800 (£633.65) in a couple of hours thanks to his side hustle reselling used items.

Scott is a content creator on TikTok who documents the money and savings he makes reselling items.

On his channel, he shares tips on side hustles, investing and flipping; which involves buying used items and selling them to make a profit.

In one of his videos, Scott shared how he managed to make hundreds of dollars by flipping an old Volkswagen.

To his over 32,000 followers, he revealed how he turned a “piece of c**p” car into a lot of money thanks to giving it a good clean.

In the minute-long clip, Scott broke down how he managed to make this money thanks to simple flipping tips.

He explained: “Today, I flipped this 2008 Volkswagen piece of c**p. Normally I like Volkswagens but this one has seen better days.

“All I did today was spray it down with the hose, wash it, take good pictures of it and market it correctly on OfferUp.”

Using a power hose, the content creator washed the dirty car and rubbed it down with a cloth to remove most of the marks.

Following this, he had to jumpstart the vehicle as the car battery was completely dead and went to take pictures of the Volkswagen after its deep clean.

Scott added: “Good pictures are huge. It’s kind of like a dating site. You got to have great pictures, and put your best foot forward so this is exactly what we did.”

On the reselling website, the TikTokker advertised the used car for $2,000 (£1,584.13) and within minutes received multiple offers.

The content creator said: “I posted the ad like 20 minutes ago and think I counted 11 offers already on it.

“I’m actually meeting someone right down the street right now. You don’t really want people to come to your house for these things.”

Meeting the potential buyer at a nearby parking lot, Scott drove the recently cleaned car to be sold.

Following his interaction with the buyer, the social media star revealed he made $800 (£633.65) after selling the car for $1,800 (£1,425.72).
