‘I have made an extra £400 in four months thanks to my dog-sitting side hustle!’

Speaking to CashLady.com, the 30-year-old broke down why took on this side hustle in the first place.

She explained: “I am a dog person through and through. I’ve been around them all my life and know the best ways to take care of them and bring them happiness.

“I’m a dog owner myself and I use the items I have already for my dog, so I don’t need to buy things I wouldn’t be buying already.

“With the money I’ve saved, I’ve enjoyed spending it on little treats for me and my family, such as days out and meals.”

According to the side hustler, her extra job keeps her active with her main role being “sedentary”.

In the past four months, Ms Clack has taken on 10 bookings and already has two returning customers.

She often walks the dogs near the owner’s home which has allowed her to explore local parks and woodland areas.

Ms Clack added: “Make sure you have enough experience with dogs first before putting yourself forward.

“Dogs mean the world to their owners, and each has their own personality, so ensure you are up to the task of more challenging ones and are able to take on the responsibility of caring for them.

“You should look into whether you need insurance for dog walking. Some platforms, such as Rover, offer customers a pet care guarantee when you make a booking on their website.”

“If you are experienced with dogs and looking for a side hustle that is great for your mental and physical health, as well as earning a bit of cash, go for it! You never know what you might discover and who you might have the joy of meeting.”
