A WOMAN is fuming after having to pay £200 to be able to open the door of her Tesla.
The EV driver took to social media to explain what she hates about owning a car from the US firm.
TikTok user @erinrobinson said it’s a pain opening her Tesla with an app because the system sometimes doesn’t work correctly.
She said: “All the little Tesla fan girls out there just pee in their pants. They can’t handle the fact that there’s somebody who doesn’t have the same Tesla experience as them.
“So on Tesla, your key is your app, and it’s supposed to work. You can see that it’s connected. It’s got my information as I approach the car – it’s just supposed to unlock automatically.
“I got my address, but it’s still here, so somebody’s chasing me to my car, which has happened many times in Los Angeles. Do I have the stupid card that also doesn’t work on my car?”
The TikTok user ended up spending £200 for a key fob, just so she could guarantee access to her luxury EV.
She continued: “The key fob doesn’t come with the car. I had to order separately to be able to actually use my vehicle.”
The video has had more than 20,000 views and 314 comments on TikTok.
Users were quick to give their opinion on the video.
One said: “This happens to mine too, sometimes randomly. I’ll just unlock it right from the app.”
Another said: “My phone key on my 2021 model 3 has never worked.”
A third pointed out: “I’m just really curious, is that covered under basic warranty? I feel like Tesla should fix that for free.”
