Mandeep S Lamba, president (South Asia) at HVS Anarock said HOPE 2023 will bring together not only the top hospitality leaders for ‘differentiated’ out-of-the-box discussions, but also ‘highly eminent’ and ‘coveted’ keynote speakers and presenters from outside the hospitality fraternity who will discuss latest global technology trends, and India’s rise as an economic powerhouse, including what makes India compelling for the world.
“HOPE 2023 aims to showcase India’s global stature as a hospitality industry powerhouse, by bringing over 80 eminent speakers from the who’s who of the global and Indian hospitality, travel, and food and beverage industries to economists, private equity and banking leaders, architects, technology leaders, start-up gurus, change makers, and renowned travel writers and authors together for focused deliberation and interactive dialogues on various thought-provoking and forward-thinking topics impacting the hospitality industry,” he added.
The line up of speakers at HOPE 2023 includes Campbell Wilson, CEO and MD of Air India; Deepak Bagla, MD and CEO, Invest India; Dimitris Manikis, president for Europe, Middle East, Eurasia and Africa at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts; IHCL MD and CEO Puneet Chhatwal; Patu G Keswani, chairman and MD Lemon Tree Hotels; Rajesh Magow, co-founder and group CEO, MakeMyTrip; Andrew Langdon, senior VP, development, Asia at Accor; and Anil Chadha, divisional chief executive at ITC Hotels.
Lamba said over 250 invitees and delegates, including thought leaders and influencers, global and Indian hospitality leaders, hotel general managers, asset owners, leaders in travel and travel technology, private equity and investment banks, real estate players, and architects, will attend the HOPE conference.
Hoteliers are proactively focusing on alternative customer segments and diversifying into non-room ancillary revenue streams following the Covid-19 pandemic, Lamba said.
“Moreover, technology adoption has accelerated, and operations have become leaner. Since the start of the pandemic, traveler behavior has changed significantly, with privacy, hygiene, and cleanliness taking precedence over all other considerations. Many travelers are now looking for greater flexibility and convenience, especially when traveling in small groups or with families and pets. Popularity of alternative accommodation products such as homestays and villa rentals has increased exponentially in India as a result of these changing preferences,” he added.Leaders from the alternative accommodation space such as Amanpreet Bajaj, general manager, India South East Asia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan for Airbnb and Devendra Parulekar founder of SaffronStays are also included in the list of speakers at HOPE 2023.
