Stores in Bideford and Stourport revealed on Facebook that its shops would shut.

And the Bideford shop said that today (May 21) is the last day it’ll be open.

To mark its closing, the store has launched a massive sale and shoppers can save 50% on items.

It wrote: “LAST DAY TODAY!!!

Bargain high street shoe shop to shut four stores after string of closures
Major high street bank to close further branches over the next few months

“For your final chance to pick up a bargain in store, we are open 10-4 today. Check us out.”

The company sells homeware items, clothing, stationery and other home essentials.

If you’re after something at The Original Factory Shop then you’ll need to be quick, as once stock is gone it’ll be gone.

What other closures are there?

It’s not just The Original Factory Shop which is closing down stores.

M&Co has shut all of its stores in the UK.

All of its 170 stores have disappeared from the high street forever.

Marks and Spencer is shutting up shop on 67 branches over the next five years.

However, at the same time, the retailer has plans to open 104 new “bigger and fresher” stores – and some could be in the same areas as those closing.

B&Q closed eight stores in March too.

It’s not just retailers closing stores – Wetherspoon and Stonegate, which owns Slug and Lettuce and Be At One, are closing a number of boozers and restaurants this year.

Plus, a host of high street banks and building societies are shutting dozens of branches this year – and some are closing this month.

Here’s the full list of stores closing this year.
