A MOTORS expert has revealed the hidden use of an air-conditioning button to keep you warm in the winter.

Social media star Chequanxiaoqiao has shown how a simple press of the button could help you heat up as temperatures plunge.

Often posting on TikTok and Instagram, her latest piece of car knowledge was lapped up by her 870,000 followers.

The presenter states that many people are “confused” when they see so many buttons in the air conditioning area of the car.

She said that drivers also mistook the air conditioning button to only be used to cool down their motor.

But the TikToker explained that there was an easy way to use it to your advantage in the winter months and showed users exactly how to access this.

Chequanxiaoqiao said: “In the winter driving, close down your air conditioning.

“Then open the external circulation, the glass is not easy to frost and it is especially fuel-efficient.”

The motors whizz also had some handy tips for driving in the rain during colder months.

Chequanxiaoqiao added: “In the rainy day driving, open the air conditioner and open the external circulation.

“Set the air con mode to blow the glass mode so that your windscreen will not fog up.”
