HDFC Mutual Fund announces change in name of 5 schemes


HDFC Mutual Fund has announced the change in name of its five schemes. The changes will be effective from November 18. The fund house informed about these changes to its unitholders through a notice-cum-addendum.

Among these five schemes, four are equity oriented passive funds and one is solution oriented fund.

HDFC Children’s Gift Fund, a solution oriented fund, will be known as HDFC Children’s Fund. HDFC Gold Exchange Traded Fund will be known as HDFC Gold ETF.

HDFC Gold Fund will be known as HDFC Gold ETF Fund of Fund. HDFC Index Fund – Nifty 50 Plan will be called HDFC Nifty 50 Index Fund.

HDFC Index Fund – BSE SENSEX Plan has been revised to HDFC BSE Sensex Index Fund

Among these five schemes, HDFC Index Fund – Nifty 50 Plan is the largest fund that manages an asset base of Rs 18,914 crore as on September 2024. HDFC Children’s Gift Fund had an AUM of Rs 10,042 crore. HDFC Children’s Gift Fund is managed by Chirag Setalvad and Anil Bamboli. HDFC Gold ETF is managed by Bhagyesh Kagalkar.

The other three schemes are managed by Nirman Morakhia and Arun Agarwal.

All other terms and conditions of the aforesaid scheme(s) remain unchanged. This addendum shall form an integral part of the SID / KIM of the aforesaid scheme(s) and SAI of the fund as amended from time to time.
