Cone Health adds two vice presidents to its information technology team.
Greensboro – Two vice-president-level positions at Cone Health will elevate the use of technology and ensure that health information remains secure. Keith Jones has been named associate chief information officer. Robert Patto has joined Cone Health as chief information security officer.
Telehealth, artificial intelligence, predictive analytics and machine learning are playing greater roles in health care. And as the use of ever advancing technology increases, protecting patient information generated with this technology becomes more important than ever.
Associate Chief Information Officer Keith Jones
Jones will provide leadership and guidance in critical IT areas such as data management, resource allocation, project management, policies and procedures, service development, delivery and deployment. He joined Cone Health 11 years ago developing strategy around data warehousing, business intelligence, and analytics.
Jones received his bachelor’s degree in information systems-operations management from the University of North Carolina- Greensboro and his master’s degree in health care administration from Pfeiffer University.
Chief Information Security Officer Robert Patto
Patto is responsible for securing highly confidential patient information and for ensuring compliance of complex technology. He has more than 20 years’ experience in the field. He has worked at Southcoast Health, of New Bedford Massachusetts, OhioHealth, Sentara Healthcare, the United States Navy and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
Patto holds a master’s degree in information systems technology management from the Naval Postgraduate School and a bachelor’s degree from the College of William & Mary.
