GST meeting key announcements: Millet products and Molasses see significant tax rate cuts


The Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council in India has decided to reduce the GST on millet flour in powder form from 18% to 5%. The move aims to make nutritious food items more accessible to the public. The council also exempted alcohol for human consumption from the indirect tax, while extra-neutral alcohol (ENA) for industrial use will still attract GST.
