Gloucestershire tech giants partner to make cyber security … – SoGlos

An increasing number of small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are struggling to afford cyber security since the Covid-19 pandemic, according to a report taken from the 2023 Government Cyber Security Breaches Survey.

38 per cent of the SMEs surveyed admitted to having insufficient funds to adequately protect themselves against cyber attacks.

To create a solution to this trend, a collaboration between Cheltenham’s Eagle Tower residents and cyber and technology specialists, Emerge Digital and Red Maple Technologies, has been formed to introduce better cyber hygiene to SMEs across the county and beyond.

As a Managed Service Provider (MSP), Emerge Digital is incorporating Red Maple’s world-leading attack surface management platform, FractalScan Surface, into its recently launched OnyxSecure product suite.

This merge is designed to bring enhanced enterprise-level cyber security to SMEs for a more affordable price.

It’s the first time Red Maple’s state-of-the-art attack surface management platform will be available through an MSP with OnyxSecure, backed by a dedicated team of highly certified cyber security engineers.

It brings together two companies that have common roots in Cheltenham’s vibrant business community, as well as a keen focus on local cyber security.

Managing director of Emerge Digital, Tom Henson said: ‘Security shouldn’t be a privilege confined to big corporations. This partnership allows us to bring top-tier security to all businesses, irrespective of their size.’

Utilising FractalScan Surface’s continuous scanning capabilities, Emerge Digital can identify and proactively manage potential risks, significantly reducing clients’ vulnerability to cyber attacks.

Building manager at Eagle Tower, Cherie Lampitt added: ‘We’re always excited to see Eagle Tower residents collaborating and innovating together. This partnership exemplifies the spirit of collaboration and innovation we foster within our business community.
