If your current vacuum cleaner is no longer up to scratch, there’s now a way to get money off something shiny and new. Dyson has just announced the launch of a new initiative that’s offering customers the chance to hand over their current machines and receive £100 back if they buy one of the UK firm’s latest models.
That means you could reduce the price of the latest Dyson Gen5detect, V15 Detect Absolute+, or V12 Detect Slim.

The scheme is all pretty simple and also eco-friendly. When your old vacuum is sent back, Dyson promises to try and give it a second life via its refurbishment process which hopefully means it won’t end up in landfill.
If any of that sounds enticing you need to act fast with Dyson confirming that the offer is only available until May 21. You’ll also need to own an old Dyson with the company only offering the £100 when you trade in one of its own-brand machines. Models that can be handed over include the Dyson V6, Dyson V7, Dyson V8, Dyson Cyclone V10 and Dyson V11.

Once you’ve checked that your current vacuum will be accepted, you simply buy your new model, pop your old machine in the post – Dyson even sends out a prepaid postage label to take the pain and cost out of the return – and once it’s been checked and verified you’ll get sent the £100.

One of the new models that is definitely worth checking out is the V15 detect. This device includes the clever laser head which shows if you’ve missed any dirt on your floors.
There’s also a one-hour runtime, improved power via the Hyperdymium motor and a screen on the handle which shows what type of dust it’s collected from your floors.
