In his new role, Goyal will spearhead the Gensol group’s supply chain management, encompassing all of its entities in the clean energy and electric mobility domains.
Goyal will work closely with the entity-level leadership team to build capacity for bulk and efficient procurement for timely completion of projects, the company said.
He will be tasked with optimising cost and requisite quality, overall process development and digitalisation of the supply chain management activities.
Goyal comes with about 29 years of experience in various industries, including solar photovoltaic module manufacturing, solar and wind engineering, procurement and construction projects, battery energy storage system, and green hydrogen and ammonia.
In his career, he has been instrumental in timely execution of large-scale solar projects for NTPC, SECI, APGenco, GIPCL, WBPDCL, Maruti, and Jindal Steel and Power, overseeing 3,700 MWp projects worth about Rs 17,000 crore.Goyal is a chartered accountant by qualification and has completed executive programmes at the University of Michigan and Harvard Business School.
