GDP, storm before the (likely) lull




A low-base effect was on display for manufacturing and mining, both of which had contracted during the same quarter of the prior year. Agriculture was affected by an uneven monsoon and saw its growth rate halving from a year ago. Services growth normalised from its post-pandemic resurgence last year. Here, too, growth rates have halved, except in government services.
