Vehicle sales in India are estimated to touch a new high in the April to September 2023 period, fuelled by a spate of new launches in the SUV segment. This period has also seen significant changes in powertrain share, with hybrid, CNG and electric vehicles showing gains. This change is being driven by rising fuel prices, concerns about air pollution and government incentives, said Ravi Bhatia, president, Jato Dynamics.
