Full list of five items being AXED from McDonald’s menu in days including ‘best burger ever released’

MCDONALD’S is set to axe five items off its menu in days, including what fans call the “best burger ever released”.

Fast food fans better hurry along to the chain if they want one last taste of the popular dishes, snacks and sweet treats.

The items will be leaving the main menu offering from February 6, just over a month since they joined.

Among those making an exit is the beloved Steakhouse Stack burger.

It’s made up of two beef patties, a slice of cheddar cheese, crispy onions, red onions, and lettuce topped with a creamy peppercorn sauce, all in a toasted bun.

Fans have been begging to return since it was launched in March 2023.

Several foodies said the burger was the best McDonald’s has ever had last time it was on the menu.

One wrote: “This is one of the best burgers I have ever tasted, had a really nice kick to it too and peppercorn sauce is my fave – would definitely recommend it.”

Another declared: “Definitely the nicest burger from McDonald’s ever.

“Serious combination of flavours. Love it.”

Foodies have been left gutted that the burger is being cut from the menu.

One said: “Steakhouse stack is probably the best burger you have ever released, the patties taste better, even without the peppercorn sauce it is by far the best tasting.

“But like everything good you take it away and leave the bland old menu the same.”

It’s not just the burger fans will be saying goodbye to.

The Fajita Chicken wrap, which was first introduced to menus in January 2020, is also being axed.

It returned earlier this month with a new recipe that combines creamy fajita sauce and tomato salsa with onions, cheese and shredded lettuce, all inside a toasted tortilla wrap.

The dish was highly anticipated and several fans have called for it to be permanent.

One wrote: “Fajita chicken wrap cannot be removed please.”

Another said: Instead of getting rid of the fajita chicken wrap (which is a solid 12/10) make everyone a favourite and keep it and get rid of ANY of the other trash wraps you have on your menu, thanks, literally anyone with tastebuds.”

Cheesy Garlic Bites are also leaving – it last featured on menus in August 2023 after launching for the first time in 2021.

They combine a blend of mozzarella and emmental cheese, in a garlic herb coating.

For those of you with a sweet tooth, you’ll be sad to know there are two McFlurrys being axed.

Both the Cadbury Caramel McFlurry and the Cabury Dairy Milk McFlurry will only be available until February 6.

They mix classic Dairy Milk chocolate with vanilla ice cream, with either sweet caramel sauce or chocolate sauce.

Here is the full list of those being removed:

  • Steakhouse Stack
  • Cadbury Dairy Milk McFlurry
  • Cadbury Caramel McFlurry
  • Cheesy Garlic Bites
  • The Fajita Chicken One

What’s being added to the McDonald’s menu?

It’s not all bad news though because there will also be an influx of new dishes and treats from February 7.

Among the new items are the KitKat Ruby Chocolate McFlurry and Raspberry and White Chocolate Pie.

The KitKat Ruby Chocolate McFlurry mixes soft ice cream with Ruby Chocolate-covered KitKat pieces and wafer bites, it’s then topped with a pink raspberry sauce.

The pie is a crispy pink pastry filled with a smooth white chocolate ganache and raspberry compote.

If you’re not a fan of change, there will also be a classic KitKat Milk Chocolate McFlurry.

This is a combination of milk chocolate KitKat pieces and wafer bites and chocolate sauce.

The beloved Big Tasty and the Big Tasty with bacon are both back as well.

Each time the burgers make a comeback, they’re a huge hit, with many calling for them to be made permanent.

They contain a beef patty, melty cheese made with Emmental, tomato, lettuce, onions and iconic Big Tasty sauce.

For those of you looking to upgrade your dinner, you can also bag the burger with bacon too.

Also back again are Mozzarella Dippers, which come in a pack of three or as a sharebox of nine, are each coated in breadcrumbs and served with salsa dip.

That’s not all though, because the Breakfast Wrap is also hitting breakfast menus from February 7.

The fast food giant exclusively revealed to The Sun that the beloved item will once again grace its morning offering.

Foodies have been crying out for the wrap to make a comeback since it was cut from menus.

But always keep in mind menu prices can vary across different restaurants – so perhaps check prices online first to avoid getting a surprise.

You can get freebies on your birthday if you’ve got the My McDonald’s app – it’s free to download and you’ll only need a few quick details to get set up.

Remember to log your date of birth on the app though, otherwise you’ll miss out.

You can get a Big Mac and fries for just £1.99 as well if you fill out the quick feedback survey following your last visit.

All you’ll need is your receipt which should have been issued no more than 60 days after your visit.

How do I find my nearest McDonald’s?

If you’re planning on taking a trip to McDonald’s, you’ll want to know where your nearest branch is.

The chain has a restaurant locator tool on its website you can use to find your nearest one – and check what time it opens.

Bear in mind that McDonald’s serves breakfast every day until 11am.

After that, the menu switches to the normal menu serving meals such as burgers, chicken nuggets and more.

Elsewhere, fans have been left fuming after trying to order a “gorgeous” menu item only to find it’s sold out “everywhere”.
