OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) —
Oklahoma City residents have the opportunity to participate in free certification for jobs in software development and cyber security.
This educational opportunity is to help develop skills for a tech career.
Using American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds, the Oklahoma City Alliance for Economic Development has partnered with CodeFellows to provide all tuition-paid certification pathways.
ARPA funds will cover tuition through September 30, 2024.
The program takes six to seven months to complete, so program leaders have encouraged interested Oklahomans to apply by January 2024.
“I’m so proud that Oklahoma City invested ARPA funds for this free tech certification program. Program graduates qualify for jobs with starting salaries of $75,000-85,000,” said Sen. Julia Kirt.
Qualifying applicants must have lived in Oklahoma City since March of 2021.
