The Seminoles tied for their best finish in program history in 2023 when they reached the NCAA Semifinals of Match Play and tied for third overall at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz. FSU ranked seventh at the end of the year in the Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings.
Anderson (18th), Roberts (20th), Kjettrup (31st) and Bigham (45th) all ranked in the Top 45 of the final Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings, making Florida State one of three programs (Vanderbilt, North Carolina) to have four golfers placed in that range.
Anderson’s Second-Team All-America award is his best yet, eclipsing his Third-Team All-America honor he received from the Golf Coaches Association of America a few weeks ago. His career year includes a 70.62 scoring average that ranks ninth for a single season in program history. The Camden, Maine, native owns a 71.90 career scoring average that also ranks ninth overall at FSU.
Roberts earns consecutive Second-Team All-America honors after a tremendous junior year. The Coral Springs, Fla., native produced a 70.51 scoring average this season for what is the eighth-lowest at FSU, earning six Top 10 finishes in 12 tournaments played this year.
Kjettrup, who just recently played at the Arnold Palmer Cup along with Anderson, was another key aspect to FSU’s historic season. The Aabybro, Denmark, native had one of the best wins of the season at the Watersound Invitational, which included eight teams in the Golfstat Top 40 among an 11-team field.
Bigham caps his fine year with his first All-America honor as a freshman. The native of Saint Albans, England, had three Top 10 finishes in nine tournaments played and was strong in both postseason events, helping FSU advance at the NCAA Morgan Hill Regional and reach match play at the NCAA Championships.
