A CHURCH will be available to buy for £25k – but there’s a creepy catch.
The The 1,027 square foot property, located in Bucknall, Shropshire – includes two rooms, the larger of which boasts wooden beams and hanging lights.
Other more modest sized side-room will need to be renovated by its future owners – and was likely used for storage.
While garden views are a welcome sight when you receive the keys to your property – the front and back yard of the former Baptist Church may tingle your spine.
When you step outside, you will be greeted by multiple graves – meaning family members of the deceased must be granted access if they wish to dig them up.
Moreover, past members of the congregation who pass away will be permitted to be buried in the outside space – meaning funerals will be allowed to be held there.
On top of that spooky addition, the property doesn’t offer running water, electricity or foul drainage.
The post on Rightmove read: ‘The following special conditions will apply.
“To permit existing graves at the property to be opened up so as to allow family members of the people already buried at the Property to be buried in the same place.
‘To provide new graves for the former members of Coxall Baptist Church and permit the burial or interment of human remains in the burial areas at the Property, providing the person wishing to be buried or interred has made a prior written application to the Trustees.”
The description also revealed that the attractive features seen in the images will not be available to the highest bidder.
The post continues: “Please note, the pews, and organ shown in the photographs, or present at the time of viewing, are not included in the sale.”
The property will go under the hammer on April 28 at 3pm at Halls Holdings House in Shrewsbury.
