IS your Sunday lie-in blighted by your other half’s snoring, or is the boot on the other foot?
No matter who is making the windows rattle, it’s a problem many would pay good money to resolve.
But snoring won’t necessarily be sorted with the expensive solutions on offer.
Try these methods for a more affordable silent night.
ROLL OVER: Snoring can be linked to sleeping on your back, so a simple solution could be to flip over.
That’s easier said than done when you are in a deep sleep, so the NHS recommends taping or stitching a tennis ball to the back of your pyjamas to stop you rolling flat onto your back at night.
FEATHER FLUSTER: If you have a feather pillow, it might be triggering an allergy that causes snoring or makes it worse.
Switch to one that has a synthetic filling.
The Silentnight Anti Snore Pillow from Asda is £11.
BEDDY-BUYS: You can buy simple aids that, depending on the cause, could give you a quieter night.
Nasal strips and sprays can help you breathe easier through your nose, while different products ease the noise caused by breathing through your mouth.
The Snoreeze Oral Device, £35 from Boots, is part of a three for two offer which also includes other snoring remedies like the Sleepeaze Snoring Relief strips, down from £9.50 to £7.60 for 20.
PULL THE PLUG: If all else fails, try not to give your partner a guilt trip.
Instead invest in some ear plugs.
Superdrug’s soft foam ear plugs are £1.99 for three pairs with a carry case, and are included in a two for £3 offer.
SNIFF OUT THE PROBLEM: What is causing the snoring?
It could be because you breathe through your mouth, struggle with allergies, sleep on your back or your nose is blocked – or a combination.
