PLYMOUTH – America’s hometown doesn’t skimp on fanfare for the Fourth of July.
Events begin in the morning and continue into the night on July 4 with a road race, a parade, food trucks and other vendors, a concert and the fireworks over Plymouth Harbor.
This year’s celebration marks parade organizer July 4 Plymouth’s 40th year as a nonprofit corporation. It was first formed in response to the town’s inability to reliably cover the event’s costs one year to the next.
This year’s parade theme is “You’re a Grand Old Flag.”
As of Saturday morning, July 4 Plymouth had raised $110,000 of its $126,000 fundraising to cover all the costs associated with the event. Donations can be made on the July 4 Plymouth website.
