Experts examine aspects from food to mobility in bringing sustainable solutions



Startup founders, investors and policymakers on Friday discussed the innovations and solutions necessary to build a sustainable future.

At the TiE Delhi-NCR Sustainability Summit in New Delhi, the stakeholders discussed the various aspects of sustainability, including food & water innovation, sustainable manufacturing & environments and mobility solutions.

At the conference, Sangeeta Sharma, General Manager Sales-South Asia, Lufthansa Group, said: “Sustainability is in our DNA. We are committed to be CO2 neutral by 2050. We have invested $250 to buy sustainable aviation fuel in the coming years.”

Sudhakar Kesavan, Chairman of Chandrakanta Kesavan Center for Energy Policy & Climate Solutions, pointed out the need to develop institutional mechanisms to teach sustainability at the primary, high school and college levels. “It is a tremendous opportunity for us to look at ways in which we can accelerate the process of sustainability.”

Other industry leaders at the summit included Anita George, Co-Founder, Edhina Capital; Sujoy Ghosh, Vice-President & Country MD-India, First Solar; Hemendra Mathur, Co-Foudner of Bharat Innovation Fund; Anjalli Kumar, Chief Sustainability Officer, Zomato, and Ashish Wadhwani, Co-Founder & Managing Partner, IvyCap Ventures.
