ET MSME Awards 2023: Union Minister Narayan Rane to be chief guest at felicitation ceremony



The Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Narayan Rane, will felicitate the winners of ET MSME Awards 2023.

At the grand finale that will be held on Friday (December 8, 2023) in New Delhi, the minister is also set to deliver the keynote address. This year the Awards saw sel-nominations from over 10,000 companies.

The awards celebrate the enthusiasm, achievements, and brilliance of the country’s MSMEs in 26 categories. The programme, which is in its fourth edition, is India’s most comprehensive and influential MSME awards.

The prestigious event will see the key stakeholders in the MSME ecosystem — entrepreneurs, promoters, policymakers, and analysts, among others — share actionable insights, solutions and strategies that can strengthen the global competitiveness of India’s MSME players. It gives MSMEs an opportunity to connect and network with the key stakeholders and veterans of the ecosystem. The awards evening will also host panel discussions and fireside chats with industry bigwigs.

Selecting the winners for the awards was itself a process that took months. After many rounds of documentation and deliberations, a jury panel of experts shortlisted the companies and the people who deserve to be honoured at the ET MSME Awards 2023.

The jury panel for the ET MSME Awards 2023 comprises of various key leaders and stakeholders of the MSME ecosystem, such as R Narayan, President of FICCI-CMSME, and Founder & CEO of Power2SME; Madan Padaki, Co-founder of GAME India, Founder & CEO of 1Bridge, and President of TiE – Bengaluru; K Rama Devi, Founder and President of the Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of India (ALEAP); Srikanth Srinivasan, Vice President of NASSCOM ; Mukesh Mohan Gupta, President, Chamber of Indian MSME; and Ponnuswami M, Founder & MD, Pon Pure Chemicals Group and Co-Chairman, CII MSME National Council.The awards programme is an initiative of ET Digital, in association with Airtel Business as technology partner, Northern Arc as the silver partner and CareEdge as the knowledge partner.This is the fourth edition of the awards event, which was previously known as ET Top MSME Rankings. More than 26,000 businesses across the country participated in the previous editions.

The series has been an enabling environment for India’s small and medium businesses to recognise their worth and contribution to the country’s growth engine. This move assumes importance as the MSME sector is known to be the backbone of India’s economy; more than 63 million MSMEs operate in the country. The sector is also known to be the second-biggest employment generator, after agriculture.

The awards are open for any Indian micro, small and medium scale enterprises, as specified by the Ministry of MSME, Government of India.
