In a post, Musk said, “Video & audio calls coming to X”.
Musk said the new feature will be compatible with Android, iOS, PC, and Mac, adding that audio and video calls can be made without any phone number.
“X is the effective global address book,” Musk said in a post on the platform.
Musk had in May first spoken about the calling feature on the platform. “Coming soon will be voice and video chat from your handle to anyone on this platform, so you can talk to people anywhere in the world without giving them your phone number,” he had announced in a tweet.

Meanwhile, Musk on Tuesday lifted a ban on political ads put in place at Twitter to thwart misinformation before the billionaire bought the platform now called X.
Welcoming back potentially misleading political messages at X came less than a week after former president Donald Trump posted there for the first time since January 2021.
