EKI Energy to remove statutory auditors Walker Chandiok


EKI Energy Services, a carbon credits and sustainability solutions firm, has informed the BSE that its board of directors has decided to remove statutory auditors Walker Chandiok & Co LLP under Section 140 of the Companies Act, 2013.

In a letter to BSE, the company said that the board of directors of EKI Energy Services Limited had convened a meeting on July 5, 2023, in order to decide on the subject of removal of the statutory auditor, based on the recommendations of the audit committee.

The board of directors reconvened a meeting on July 13, 2023, and approved the removal of Walker Chandiok & Co LLP. When reached for comment on the development, the spokesperson at Walker Chandiok & Co LLP said, “During the audit for the financial year ended March 31, 2023, the management of EKI Energy Services Limited withheld information and explanations on several questionable transactions, which were communicated by Walker Chandiok & Co LLP (WCC) to the audit committee on July 5, 2023.
