A driver in Kentucky crashed into an Enterprise Rent-A-Car after choking on a french fry while behind the wheel.
According to the Henderson Police Department, the unnamed driver began choking on a fry and pulled off the road, eventually driving into the rental car store in a strip mall.
Both the passenger and driver had to be pulled out of the car and taken to the hospital to treat minor injuries.
Patricia Grossman witnessed the crash and told WLKY that the incident made her reconsider eating while driving.
“I do it, and I’m sure a lot of people do,” Grossman said. “It’s not something I’ve ever thought about, but now will definitely think about it more.”
The Enterprise store has since reopened for business.
