They were left fuming after being stuck behind the cyclist and said: “Wonder why no one likes cyclists”.

However, people have been left divided over the clip.

In the video, the driver is behind a cyclist who is using the road.

But there is a marked cycle lane with bollards right beside them.

Another cyclist can be seen doing the same further up the road.

Since the clip was uploaded to social media, people have been left divided.

While some have said cyclists should use the bike lane, others have revealed that it is simply to narrow to cycle in.

One person commented: “That’s what happens when you give cyclists and pedestrians priority on the roads.

“You give them an inch and they take a mile.”

Another said: “Just a waste of council tax money if they are not using them.

However, many have said that the cycle lane is actually a hazard for cyclists.

One person said: “I recently started cycling out of necessity rather than leisure and that cycle lane is a total hazard because of the abrupt end.”

Another wrote: “As a cyclist I used this lane a few weeks ago and it was too narrow, and I doubt it meets Scottish executive cycling by design standards.

“The run out is dangerous and cars were parked on the cycling lane at this point.”

And a third commented: “The cyclist isn’t at fault here. The cycle lane is no use – it’s narrow and there’s no way out at the other end when cars are parked.”
