Diwali bank holidays 2023: Banks will be closed in these states on Monday, November 13



Diwali celebrations begin with Dhanteras on November 10, 2023, and end with Bhai Dooj on November 15, 2023. Due to festivities, bank branches will be closed in several locations in November 2023. According to the holiday schedule of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), most banks would be closed for a total of fifteen days in November, which includes all Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays. Bank holidays vary from one state to another.

Banks will be closed in Tripura, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Manipur, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra on Monday, November 13, 2023, for Govardhan Pooja/Laxmi Puja (Deepawali)/Diwali.

There will be bank holidays for three consecutive days in these states as November 11, 2023, is a second Saturday, followed by Sunday and Monday due to the festival.

In some states, banks are closed on Tuesday due to festive celebrations. There will be a bank holiday on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Sikkim for Diwali (Bali Pratipada)/Deepavali/Vikram Samvant New Year Day/Laxmi Puja.

In Sikkim, banks are closed for five consecutive days, starting from the second Saturday, Sunday followed by Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

November 20 (Monday)- Chhath (Morning Arghya)- Banks are closed in Bihar and Rajasthan.
November 23 (Tuesday)- Seng Kutsnem/Egaas-Bagwaal- Banks are closed in Uttarakhand and Sikkim.
November 30 (Thursday)- Kanakadasa Jayanthi- Banks are closed in Karnataka.
