Destiny 2 update introduces Cold Comfort rocket launcher: Here’s how to get it

In the latest update, Season of the Deep, Destiny 2 players have been captivated by the introduction of the new Cold Comfort weapons, raids, dungeons, and currencies. Among all that the update offers, the Cold Comfort rocket launcher is one of the top performers.

How to get a Cold Comfort rocket launcher?

To obtain the Cold Comfort weapon, players must complete the Ghosts of the Deep dungeon, which entails navigating the depths of Titan to prevent Oryx’s resurrection. Throughout the journey, players will encounter various battles, and the weapon can be obtained as a drop from the Hive Ritual, Shield of Savathun, and Simmumah Ur-Nokru Lucent Necromancer fights. The Cold Comfort rocket launcher boasts substantial firepower and comes with an arsenal of exceptional perks.

1. Explosive Light: This perk enables the weapon to absorb an orb of light, augmenting the impact radius and damage of its next projectile.

2. Envious Assassin: If players eliminate enemies with other weapons and then switch to Cold Comfort, the weapon’s magazines will automatically overflow with ammunition from reserves, ensuring continuous firepower.

3. Bait and Switch: Dealing damage with all equipped weapons within a short period empowers this weapon with a damage boost, granting a strategic advantage in combat.

4. Chill Chip: This perk enhances weapon stability and grants an additional benefit—direct hits with the top half of the magazine trigger a detonation, slowing down nearby targets.

Additionally, the Cold Comfort possesses the powerful Restoration Ritual trait. Reviving allies or defeating enemies triggers an automatic reload of the weapon.
