Dem Staffer Deletes Praise for 'Sexy' Satanic Statue: 'Can't Make a Joke on the Internet Anymore' – The Messenger

A Democratic staffer deleted a social media post of her pretending to kiss a ‘sexy’ satanic statue at the Michigan Capitol building after receiving criticism online.

Michigan Democrats media production specialist Samantha Skorka posted a photo of herself on X posing next to an idol of pagan deity Baphomet with the caption: “In the name of Satan, I claim the sexy satanic Baphomet goat altar at OUR Michigan Capitol. Amen.”

Skorka became the latest target of the online angry mob, with Republicans accusing her of supporting Satan. She eventually deleted the post and clarified that the whole thing was meant to be a joke.

“Well clearly you can’t make a joke on the internet anymore,” Skorka posted on X.

Even though Skorka removed the post, Libs of TikTok had previously taken a screenshot of it and reshared the photo, also calling for the immediate removal of the statue.

Baphomet was placed on Capitol grounds at the behest of The Satanic Temple of Michigan in honor of the holiday season, according to ABC News 4.

While the angry folks on the internet might have you thinking otherwise, the Satanic Temple does not worship Satan. According to their website, “Satanists should actively work to hone critical thinking and exercise reasonable agnosticism in all things.”
