Delhi airport issues advisory as visibility drops due to fog

As thick fog continued to shroud the national capital on Thursday, the Delhi airport issued a fog alert for travellers flying out of the city. The airport advised travellers to contact their specific airlines to make sure they are informed of any updates regarding the change in schedule. The Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in Delhi has started adhering to Low Visibility Procedures (LVP), it added.

“Low visibility procedures are in progress at Delhi Airport. All flight operations are presently normal. Passengers are requested to contact the airline concerned for updated flight information,” Indira Gandhi International Airport said in a tweet.
