The upcoming launch of the D2SCALE scaling programme marks the beginning of an exciting journey for European tech innovation. 11 March 2024 is the launch of an open call for ventures and stakeholders. This collaborative initiative is set to transform the pan-European startup landscape, propelling deep tech and digital ventures to strengthen sectors such as Transport, Logistics & Trade, and Smart Cities and increase their market footprint that contribute substantially to the sustainability and European sovereignty in these sectors.
Vision and purpose
Bringing together 13 consortium partners from all corners of Europe, D2SCALE is a transformative EU-funded project that aims to establish a sustainable scaling program, with a focus on deep tech and digital ventures in 10 market opportunities. D2SCALE empowers startups and scaleups to provide market-ready applications, foster growth, and contribute significantly to the sustainability and European sovereignty of these crucial industries while serving as a catalyst to enhance the European startup ecosystems.
D2SCALE goes into deep to recognize the key challenges faced by ventures in their path to scale up and make an impact. Among those challenges are access to pan-European growth funding, markets and internationalization, connecting to lead customers and procurers in both corporate and public sectors, assess the management teams to check their readiness to act globally and to manage strong IPR portfolios.
Over the next 26 months, the project will establish the D2SCALE scaling platform, engaging 300+ investors, public and private lead customers, and innovation hubs to support 100 startups and scaleups in 10 high-potential market opportunities, launch 2 open calls to attract applications and select 100 beneficiaries. The world-class team behind D2SCALE will then provide holistic scaling and mentoring services, facilitate access to financing and partnerships, and raise visibility for participating companies.
