Crash in Jurupa Valley parking lot leaves a woman dead – The Press-Enterprise


A pedestrian was killed in Jurupa Valley on Saturday and the driver and vehicle believed responsible were nowhere to be seen when Riverside County sheriff’s deputies arrived.

The crash was reported at 4:24 a.m. in the 4000 block of Etiwanda Avenue, south of Van Buren Boulevard, according to Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Rafael Lopez.

“When deputies arrived, they located a female in a business parking lot with obvious signs of trauma and deputies pronounced the female deceased at the scene,” Lopez said. “The driver and the involved vehicle were not located at the scene and efforts to identify both are ongoing.”

The woman’s name was not immediately released.

Anyone with information about the crash was asked to call Deputy Packer of the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station at 951-955-2600 or the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office dispatch at 951-776-1099.
