In addition to providing security technology, CMNT uses open-source intelligence (OSINT) and crowd-sourced intelligence to identify ongoing and emerging threats within various communities to provide a clear and concise picture of what’s happening. The goal is to help prevent crimes and keep communities safe, while also raising awareness and educating the community about what’s going on in their area.

“We will be aggregating multiple sources of data to provide a higher level of awareness,” Says founder Devan Leos

CMNT is headquartered in Los Angeles County and is currently focused on serving those local communities; however, there are plans to potentially expand beyond LA county in California and abroad in the future.

The non-profit was founded in May 2022 and has been working on adding resources, getting more members, and helping the community through investigations.

The inspiration for CMNT came from Devan’s own experiences and the lack of options for community service that aligned with his skills and interests. He saw a need for a non-profit that could help tackle emerging threats and make communities more secure and aware.
