ChatGPT: Who is Mira Murati and why she believes AI should be regulated

ChatGPT, an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot from Microsoft-backed OpenAI, has caught everyone’s attention just months after it was launched last year.

The chatbot’s launch and its subsequent popularity also triggered a battle among Big Tech companies to unveil their own AI chatbots.

While Microsoft integrated its Bing with ChatGPT and also launched a new version of its Edge browser with new AI features built-in, Google was quick to unveil ChatGPT rival called Bard.

Murati added that AI should be regulated by the governments.

But we’re a small group of people and we need a ton more input in this system and a lot more input that goes beyond the technologies-—definitely regulators and governments and everyone else, she said.
