Fake apps and scammer apps aren’t a new thing. A few weeks back, a WhatsApp scam was creating havoc among the mass. We informed you about this scam earlier.
In recent developments, reports analyzed that certain apps are being hosted by hostile foreign entities. This might lead to your data and safety getting compromised by threat actors.

The Cyber-safety and Cybersecurity awareness handle of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, took to Twitter and requested users to verify apps before engaging with them.
The Tweet shared a picture that included Google Play Store screenshots of two apps, namely Legend Rupee and Candy Crash. The picture also stated that the mentioned apps have been identified to be hosted by hostile foreign entities. These apps are deemed loan apps and if you come across them, it would be advisory to cross-check and verify their authenticity.
Experts advise you to avail of loans from RBI-regulated entities to be safe.
