Calling All Cool Cars! Registration Opens For Newtown Car Show – Patch


The iconic summer event will feature cars of all makes and models from 1900 to 1998.

NEWTOWN BOROUGH, PA — The Newtown Business Association is now taking registration for its annual Newtown Antique & Classic Auto Show scheduled to roll into town on Sunday, July 23.

The iconic summer event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on historic State Street between Jefferson Street and Centre Avenue in Newtown Borough and will feature cars in all makes and models from 1900 to 1998.

The event typically attracts thousands of spectators.

Trained judges will be scoring each car according to a uniform set of guidelines. They will be awarding two trophies per class. This year’s car classes include:

● 1900-1959
● 1960-1969
● 1970-1979
● 1980-1997
● Foreign
● Trucks
● Modified/Custom
● Marques – Rolls Royce or Bentley
● Special Interest – Special Interest car owners must submit a photo and description with their
registration. Event co-chairs will decide eligibility.

Interested participants can save $10 with online pre-registration at www.NewtownBA.org. The fee is $15 through July 16.

Vehicle owners may also register on the day of the event at a cost of $25 for any remaining available spaces. A registration form may also be downloaded and sent with the registration fee, which must be received via mail by August 15.
