Britney Spears' net worth: How much could star lose in divorce

Britney Spears has been spotted without her wedding ring for the first time since her shock split with her husband of one year Sam Asghari.

Asghari, 29, and Spears, 41, married last year after dating for five years. But, Asghari filed for divorce on Wednesday. The split has prompted questions about the pair’s finances, and what would happen in the case of a divorce.

What is Britney Spears’ net worth?

Amid her conservatorship battle in 2021, court documents showed Britney had a huge fortune of $60 million (£47m).

The star has made huge sums through her tours. Her largest ever grossing tour, 2009’s The Circus Staring Britney Spears, earned her a cool $131 million (£103m).

During her Las Vegas residency, running between 2017 and 2021, Britney earned a reported $300,000 (£234,840) per night and an extra $35 million (£27m) when the show was extended.

It is reported to have earned $15 million (£11.7m) on her stint as a judge on the X Factor. It is thought Britney was paid $15 million (£11.7m) by publishing house Simon & Schuster in February of last year for her tell-all memoir, The Woman In Me.

Did Britney have a prenup?

Britney and Sam are believed to have signed a prenup stipulating that Sam would receive none of the money Britney made before their marriage in the case of a divorce.

It is not known if there was an agreement that Sam would be entitled to money made by the performer after their marriage, and if he would be then how much.
