A LIMITED edition car worth £2 million has been unveiled to the British public – but it’s impossible to purchase.
Only 10 of the Rolls-Royce Phantom Scintilla have been made, each with nearly a million embroidery stitches on the iconic marble-inspired interiors.

All the cars have already been sold off to a selection of lucky customers around the globe – making them unavailable for purchase.
The motor, designed to mark 120 years of Rolls-Royce, takes inspiration from a Greek marble sculpture now kept in the Paris Louvre Gallery.
Each of the interiors took a whopping 40 hours or more to produce, with hand-crafted leather details.
Experts used different threads of varying thickness and colours to create the luminescent marbling effect across the grey-blue seats.
The inside of the rear doors and seats have a total of 869,500 individual stitches on the almost-shiny twill fabric.
Rolls-Royce said they stretch out to “areas never before explored before in a Phantom”.
“By night the embroidery takes on a mesmerising, luminescent sparkle and appears to glow from within,” the company said.
It added: “The coach doors and fabric seats feature the most extensive density of embroidery ever seen in a Rolls-Royce motor car.”
The newest Phantom model is powered by a whopping 6.75-litre, 571 horsepower V12 engine.
It can accelerate from rest to 62mph in just over five seconds and goes as fast as 155mph.
The last Rolls-Royce Phantom was unveiled in 2017, an eighth-generation feat of handiwork by 500 engineers and designers.
This year marks the 120th anniversary for the company, with the Phantom Scintilla collection paying homage to one of the car giant’s founding directors Claude Johnson.
He often looked to classic Greek themes for inspiration.
Rolls-Royce said: “The Phantom Scintilla Private Collection celebrates the Spirit of Ecstasy’s fleeting presence, dynamism and storied legacy.
“Honouring both her essence and the ancient winged statue that inspired Claude Johnson, Managing Director of Rolls-Royce Limited, to write the original brief for a Rolls-Royce figurine in 1910.”
It added: “For more than a century, the Spirit of Ecstasy has symbolised elegance and human achievements, inspiring countless works of art, from music to photography and moving image.
“In the year the marque celebrates its 120th anniversary, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars pays homage to its timeless muse in a unique private collection, named Phantom Scintilla.
“Limited to just ten examples worldwide, this magnificent collection celebrates the ethereal beauty, grace and legacy of the Spirit of Ecstasy.’
