Booz Allen Hamilton has appointed Andrew Turner as leader of its global commercial business.
In his new role, Turner will oversee a commercial sector business offering a portfolio of cybersecurity services, including strategy, risk management, incident response, cyber defense, cloud, and operational technology to help commercial clients achieve positive business outcomes and growth. The practice serves enterprise clients in financial services, health and life sciences, high tech and digital, and natural resources.
Turner has more than 20 years of experience as a security leader, having served as cyber leader at several Fortune 500 companies.
He joined Booz Allen in 2020 as chief technology officer and market strategy lead for the commercial business. Before that, Turner was chief security officer at fintech giant FIS (formerly Worldpay) for five years. In the role, he oversaw an integrated security organization function spanning IT security, financial crimes, physical security, and business resilience. He also launched and managed strategic identity, cloud security, and cyber risk management programs.
Prior to that, Turner was head of global cybersecurity at Visa and head of cyber intelligence services at Microsoft.
Earlier in his career, he worked as an independent consultant focusing on non-traditional detection and analysis of advanced global cyber threats.
Turner has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Virginia Tech.

Booz Allen has approximately 30,000 employees globally and annual revenue of $8.4 billion. The firm focuses on management and technology consulting work with federal agencies, with emphasis on the defense, intelligence, and national security sectors.
