KOLKATA: Bidhannagar Police has approached a court and frozen cryptocurrency worth Rs 48 lakh, which reportedly belonged to an illegal call centre operating out of a New Town residential complex.
Last month, cops had raided Sukhabrishti housing complex in New Town and busted an international call centre while arresting five persons, including the proprietors Rohit Sharma (26) of Tetul Wala Narayanpur and Md Zahid Hussain of Narkeldanga.
Steps are being taken to remit the money back to the treasury.
