This Christmas period, taking a moment to identify the retailers offering complimentary items or discounted products could save you lots of money.

From free chocolate to furniture giveaways, retailers including M&S and Lidl are going all out to keep their loyal customers happy.

Marks & Spencer annually organises the 12 Days of Sparks event, commencing on December 1 and concluding on December 12.

Participation in this promo requires the creation of a Sparks account, a process that can be completed at no cost through the M&S app or their website.

By logging into the app daily, participants receive a reward for each day of engagement. Users simply need to tap the door displayed on the screen, and the reward will be seamlessly added to their account.

The rewards offered thus far include discounts on clothing, a complimentary box of Belgian chocolates valued at £6, a free bag of Percy Pigs, and an Apothecary reed diffuser valued at £6.

This year, John Lewis is presenting a 12-day digital advent calendar exclusively for My John Lewis members. The offer spans from December 1 to December 12.

To receive daily gifts, members are required to log into the app each day, with each reward expiring at 23:59 on the specified date mentioned in the offer.

DFS has introduced a virtual advent calendar spanning 24 days, offering prizes valued at up to £11,000.

Each day presents a new prize opportunity throughout the month, with participants having the chance to win by correctly answering a question. Successful entries qualify individuals for a shot at winning one of the 12 competition prizes.

Among the prizes are £2,000 to spend on a DFS Sofa, a £2,000 voucher for the Grand Designs collection, and various other enticing rewards.

Morrisons launched a Christmas collector campaign for its More customers this year, reserved to users of the More app – although activation was required by November 26.

To qualify for the More Points bonus, shoppers must meet the spending requirement in four out of the specified five weeks. The bonus points will be added to the ‘More Points’ balance within 72 hours of completing the collector.

Upon accumulating over 5000 More Points in the account, users can redeem a £5 More card voucher. It’s important to note that the voucher must be used within three months of its generation.

Lidl’s Plus Christmas advent calendar makes a return this year, commencing on December 1 and extending all the way to Christmas Eve.

Accessible through the free-to-install Lidl Plus app, available on the Google Play or Apple Store, the calendar unfolds with a new box appearing on the screen daily. Tapping on the box reveals the coupon of the day.

The coupon received on December 24 remains valid until December 27, offering users a window of time to make use of the promotional offer.
