British actor Bella Ramsey, known for her roles in ‘The Last Of Us’ and ‘Game Of Thrones’, will portray Sherafiyah Lewthwaite, also known as the White Widow, in the upcoming film ‘Girl Next Door‘. Ramsey’s casting in this challenging role adds depth to the narrative of one of the West’s most wanted terrorism suspects.

Filming

Celsius Entertainment has secured the global sales rights for ‘Girl Next Door’ and will launch the film at the Cannes market. Directed and written by Bruce Goodison, the project is scheduled for filming in October 2024.Plot
‘Girl Next Door’ is inspired by the true story of a 21-year-old suburban mother of two who became radicalized. Sherafiyah Lewthwaite, the widow of a 7/7 London terrorist bomber, is alleged to have played a role in the deaths of more than 400 people. She is currently a fugitive from justice in Kenya, where she faces charges related to possession of explosives.

Production Team
The film received backing from the British Film Institute (BFI) for its development. Kate Cook and Julia Berg are producing for Indefinite Films, while Andee Ryder and Sofia Ismail Martin are producing for Misfits Entertainment. Executive producer Nicola Pearcey of Picnik Entertainment is also involved. Thierry Wase-Bailey and Henriette Wollmann are executive producing for Celsius Entertainment. Casting is being handled by Sam Stevenson.
