Being a Suryavanshi

Yug Chetna, consciousness of the age, does not halt or slow down for anyone. It goes on evolving along with the Time. Krishn Consciousness, especially the Gita, predominantly pertains to the Chandravanshis, Krishn’s lineage, the Moon lineage. Now, it is time to be a Suryavanshi, of the Sun’s lineage. It is no coincidence that the Ayodhya temple is being built now because Ram belongs to the Suryavanshi lineage. Taking inspiration from him, we too can aspire to be truthful and same, on three planes of Mansa-Vacha-Karmana, thoughts, speech and deeds, and act according to our individuality without any hypocrisy.

Chanting Surya mantras and doing Surya upasana, worship, will help connect with the Sun. Indian Space Research Organisation too successfully launched the Aditya-L1 satellite to study the Sun from close quarters. It is no coincidence that this has taken place at a time when Ram’s murti is being consecrated at the temple built at his birthplace, Ayodhya. It indicates that we too need to work on acquiring the attributes of Ram to flow with Supreme Consciousness, to create a world of harmonious coexistence, signifying Ram Rajya. Cultivate Ram’s attributes: prem, love; karuna, compassion; and tyag, sacrifice.

‘Kali Yug mein Ram ki marayada, aur Krishn ki niti hi paar lagaye’ – earnest, solemn, calm, disciplined and dignified conduct of Ram, and logic, jnana, intellectualisation and reasoning of Krishn are needed to sail through Kali Yug with ease, peace and grace.
