Springfield Road Garage Sales

The annual Springfield Road Community Sale is going on this weekend. Check out over 8 miles of sales at hundreds of homes, starting at the bottom of the hill in East Peoria. Just follow the signs from there. The sales will be happening rain or shine.

When: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. through Sunday

Bartonville Fish Fry

The annual Bartonville Fish Fry is a fundraiser for the Friends of the Bartonville Fire Department! Fish and chicken will be served, and the carnival will be selling tickets. DJ McFly will also be playing from 7-8 p.m. followed by Fool House from 8:30-11:30 p.m.

When: August 5 at 5:00 p.m.

Wildlife Prairie Park’s 45th Anniversary

Wildlife Prairie Park is celebrating its 45th Anniversary all weekend long. Enjoy a new adventure, including visiting the park’s new cougars. Train rides will also be free for everyone with admission. The park is open from 9am to 6:30pm.

When: 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. through Sunday

Where: Wildlife Prairie Park in Hanna City

27th Annual Antique Auto Show

Enjoy historic cars in a historic setting at the 27th Annual Antique Auto Show in Bloomington. More than 75 cars from the 1900s through the 1980s will be on display at the David Davis Mansion. Tours of the mansion will also be offered, and there will be a “Parade of Progress” at 2 p.m.

Nathan & Olivia’s Lemonade Stand for St. Jude

Get a cup of lemonade and give back to the kids of St. Jude. When Nathan was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2013, he and his sister started a lemonade stand for St. Jude. While he has passed way, the effort continues. Last year, they raised $20,000 — and they won’t stop until no child dies from cancer.

When: August 5 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
