Posting on Facebook’s Extreme Couponing & Bargains page, the happy customer found a parasol reduced to £40 each at Wilko.

The bargain hunter added: “The base you had to buy 4 of them they were reduced to £12.50 each, it was £25 each.

“I went to ask if they had any left as I couldn’t see any boxes. They said no but I can have the display one, so while they took it down my partner picked up the bases.

“The lady then went on to say we could have the display ones for £5 for ALL 4.”

Wilko staff then knocked £5 off the parasol meaning she got it for £35.

It means she paid £40 each for a hanging cantilever parasol and a base at the DIY shop.
