In these states, banks will be closed for three Saturdays in April.
All banks including the public sector, private sector, foreign banks, cooperative banks, and regional banks across the country are shut on these notified holidays in select states.
As the bank holidays vary from one state to another, banks in other states will work on April 15 i.e. Saturday.
Long weekends in these states
Banks are closed for three consecutive days (April 14, 15, 16) in the states of Tripura, Assam, Kerala, and West Bengal. Banks are closed on April 14 on the occasion of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti/Bohag Bihu/Cheiraoba/Vaisakhi/Baisakhi/Tamil New Year’s Day/Maha Bisubha Sankranti/Biju Festival/Buisu Festival, RBI mentioned.
Every year, the Reserve Bank of India announces the holidays for banks in three categories: the Negotiable Instruments Act Holiday, Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday, and Banks’ Closure of Accounts.
Hence, you must be aware of these impending holidays if you intend to visit your bank branch this week. However, net banking, mobile banking, and ATMs will not be impacted by these holidays.

April 18 (Tuesday)- Shab-l-Qadr- Banks are closed in Jammu and Srinagar.
April 21 (Friday)- Id-Ul-Fitr (Ramzan Eid)/Garia Puja/Jumat-ul-Vida- Banks are closed in Tripura, Jammu, and Srinagar, Kerala.
April 22 (Saturday)- Ramzan Eid (Eid-Ul-Fitr): Banks are closed on account of the fourth Saturday.
