sda has urgently recalled eight sleeping bags for babies and young children due to safety concerns.
George Home identified potential dangers with the bags, namely that the buttons on the shoulder of some of the bags were discovered to come loose and potentially detach, creating a choking hazard for babies and small children. The products affected are all designed for babies and young children, from newborns to 36 months.
What should customers do next?
Customers who own these sleeping bags are told to stop using them immediately. They can return them to their local store and will be eligible to exchange them for a full refund. Customers are not required to show their receipts in order to get their money back.

This is not the first time there have been concerns raised over the safety of sleeping bags. A 2020 Which? investigation found that 12 out of 15 baby sleeping bags from well-known brands and online marketplaces posed a risk to infants.
Which? found baby sleeping bags with neck openings that were too large, buttons that could be pulled off and become a choking hazard, and loose threads that could become a tourniquet hazard.
