The world’s largest lithium producer Albemarle Corp. has walked away from its A$6.6 billion ($4.2 billion) takeover of miner Liontown Resources after iron-ore billionaire Gina Rinehart bought up a near-20% stake sufficient to scupper the deal. Liontown will now look to raise money to fund further development on its own.
