Ashwini Vaishnaw announces Vande Metro, regional rail after success of Vande Bharat


Minister for Railways, Ashwini Vaishnaw on February 03 informed that after the success of Vande Bharat trains, India will soon launch Vande Metro, a regional rail that will connect two cities. He also informed that the metro will be designed by this year and will be tested for 1-1.5 years.Ashwini Vaishnaw said, “While the Vande Bharat train was for a distance of 400-600 km, Vande Metro will run to connect the two cities whose distance will be less than 100 km. This train will run continuously in both these cities. We will design it this year, make a prototype and test it for 1-1.5 years.”
