Asda has also slashed the price of the matching dachshund mugs to £3 down from £6 – a whopping 50% off.

Posting on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, one shopper said: “Scanning at £6.25 at Asda.”

Bargain hunters were quick to comment – tagging their friends so they could also see the bargain find.

One social media user wrote: “I need to go and have a look.”

While another added: “I spent £75 on three of these sets three weeks ago!!!”

While a third said: “Ooo fabulous. I might get some and put them away for when I move!”

The set contains four dinner plates, four side plates and four bowls.

Asda says the set is the “perfect way to add a timeless touch to your dining table”.

It’s also microwavable and dishwasher safe.

But, the discounted kitchen essential is only available in-store, and shoppers will need to be quick to get it while stocks last.

The set is currently out of stock on the Asda website, so you’ll need to visit your nearest store if you want to buy it.

You can find your closest Asda using the store locator tool on its website.

It’s possible that the item might not be available in all stores – so you might want to call ahead to check and avoid a wasted trip.

Retailers often introduce big discounts on old stock to make way for new items at the start of the season.

But you should always have a quick shop around first as you might be able to find a similar product cheaper elsewhere.

Use price comparison tools like Google Shopping to find similar products from other retailers and compare prices.
